Rio Hondo LRS Implementation Project

Summary

The County of Los Angeles, in partnership with the Cities of Alhambra, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, South Pasadena, and Temple City are finalizing a project concept for the Rio Hondo LRS Implementation Project. This project would divert and treat dry-weather flows from a 35,000-acre tributary area in the Rio Hondo watershed. This includes the installation of three treat-and-release UV systems at the individual confluences prior to entering the Rio Hondo Channel.
