Current Projects from ULAR WMG

The Glendale Train Station First/Last Mile Project is focused on improving the first and last mile of the active transportation facilities in the disadvantaged neighborhood around the Glendale Transportation Center. The Project includes a number of pavement improvements and repair of broken and damaged sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and street surfaces.

The Green Alley Project is a public alley north of Foothill Boulevard between Alta Canyada Road and Indiana Avenue, where pavement is currently in a failed condition and requires full reconstruction.

The City of Alhambra has identified an opportunity to leverage the median along Main Street between South Fremont Avenue and Hampden Terrace for a demonstration green street project. The identified median has approximately 1.46 acres of open space that is not currently utilized and could be retrofit to capture and treat stormwater runoff from the roadway and surrounding neighborhood.
