Lankershim Boulevard Local Area Urban Flow Management Network Project

The Lankershim Boulevard Local Area Urban Flow Management Network Project aims to improve the City of Los Angeles’ water quality by capturing and infiltrating stormwater while also providing flood mitigation and community enhancement through greening of the Project area. The Project area encompasses Lankershim Boulevard from Sherman Way to Tuxford Avenue in the community of Sun Valley.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Parks Program

The purpose of the Stormwater Capture Parks Program is to improve water quality while progressing towards Los Angeles Department of Power and Water’s (LADWP) goal of capturing 150,000 acre-feet per year of stormwater by 2035 in order to reduce dependence on imported water and increase reliability on sustainable local water resource.
